A true macro lens for my camera system will be announced tomorrow… maybe I’ll be saving up.
This little tree has been blossoming for a few weeks now. I think sadly the flowers are starting to wilt, but it still a beautiful bounty of pink.
Magnolias everywhere are blooming beautifully, and this one in this city has just started to sprout leaves. The contrast between the large beautiful flowers and the bare branches is just something.
The fruit trees are blossoming everywhere, whites and pinks. Along with the wattles, gum trees, magnolias and camelias, the streets are full of flowers.
From my office window in the background, I am fortunate enough to get both views of trees, and when the light is right, reflected views of trees. And a miner bird who thinks there’s another miner bird there.
Although it makes sense physics wise, it still amazes me when taking a photo like this that I need to set my focal distance at how far away the tree is from the window, not how far I am from the image on the window. Cool, eh!
The texture, pattern and colour of this trunk remind me of the coats of my dad’s cattle (Poll Hereford).
