This is either a Callistemon (Bottlebrush) or a Melaleuca (Paperbark); apparently they are so closely related that botanists aren’t sure how to divide them. So I’m not going to try to identify the exact species. Needless to say, some variety is flowering all over Melbourne with magnificent red brushes. With the green foliage, they look very festive.
